The purpose of the dress code is to promote discipline, neatness, a sense of school identity/spirit, and to provide an academic environment that is conductive to learning and teaching. Enforcement of the dress code is the joint responsibility of students, parents/guardians, teachers, and the principal. The principal maintains the right and the responsibility to interpret any additional dress code considerations as concerns arise.
1. Uniform pants and shorts:
a. must be solid khaki or navy blue in color without visible tags or logos
b. elastic waist is permitted (no drawstring on outside )
c. jean-style clothing is not permitted
d. cargo pockets on legs or back of pants are not permitted (flap pockets are permitted)
e. must be in good condition (no rips, tears, cuts, or frayed clothing)
f. pants should not be too long (as to not drag the ground)
g. shorts must be of modest length (within 5” of the ground when kneeling)
h. must be worn at proper waist level
2. Uniform Skirts, Skorts, or Jumpers:
a. must be solid khaki or navy blue in color
b. skirts, skorts, jumpers, or shirt dresses may be straight or pleated
c. cargo pockets on sides or back are NOT permitted (flap pockets are permitted)
d. length must be within 5” of the ground when kneeling
3. Uniform Shirts:
a. must be solid white, red (not maroon), navy blue, royal blue, or baby blue
b. must be polo style with long or short sleeves without logos (unless school approved logo)
c. cap sleeves are not permitted
d. uniform shirts must be tucked in at all times at school (PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD’S SHIRT IS LONG ENOUGH TO STAY TUCKED IN WHEN ARMS ARE RAISED, skin may not be exposed at waistline)
e. turtleneck shirts are not permitted
f. if a t-shirt is worn under polo, it must be plain white and only visible at the neckline
g. collared white uniform blouses are permitted for grades K-4
4. Sweatshirts and Sweaters:
a. must be solid white, red (not maroon), navy blue, royal blue, or baby blue
b. plain pullover sweaters and cardigan sweaters are permitted
c. only hooded sweatshirts purchased from the scrip office may be worn
d. uniform polo must be worn under sweatshirts or sweaters
5. Spirit T-Shirts:
Royal blue and white shirts that have been officially designated within the last 3 years as a “school spirit shirt” may be worn with uniform on the first Wednesday of every month and on home ballgame days.
6. Shoes:
Closed toe and closed back shoes must be worn. Crocs with straps on the back, any clog-type shoe, sandals, and flip-flops are not permitted.
7. Socks or tights:
Must be worn by students in the Elementary School at all times,
However students in the Middle School are not required to wear socks with shoes that are not designed for socks. Students wearing shoes with laces are required to wear socks.
8. Hair:
Must be a natural hair color. Boys hair must be kept off of the collar and out of the face
9. Piercings:
No body piercing jewelry is allowed with the exception of stud-type earrings (with no dangling parts of any length) for girls. Boys may not wear earrings.
10. Tattoos:
No tattoos may be visible (this includes stick on).
11. Jewelry:
Necklaces of a conservative nature and length may be worn on the inside of the shirt collar only.
12. Out of Uniform:
The last Wednesday of the month is designated as Out-of-Uniform for Charity days. Students must bring at least $1.00 to come to school out-of-uniform.
Out-of-Uniform Days
The same dress code rules apply to out-of-uniform days.
1. Shorts, skorts, skirts, dresses, and jumpers must be within 5” of the floor when
kneeling.
2. All clothing must be worn at proper waist level.
3. Clothing with reference to tobacco, music, drugs, alcohol, fire arms, violence, and wrestling or with sexually explicit wording/pictures is NOT permitted.
4. Muscle shirts, tank tops, backless tops or dresses, halter tops, and midriff tops are not permitted.
