We provide a learning environment where a child can thrive at his or her own level and learn to plan for individual life-actions; where a child receives love, security, acceptance, values, self-control, independence, protection, and guidance and where teachers earnestly involve a child in the excitement of learning. The curriculum of each class encircles the vital objective of helping a child develop a positive self-image. A wide variety of experiences are planned so that each child has opportunity for success. The program provides for the total child: his/her particular needs within moral, spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and mental development.
St. Romuald Preschool is a State Licensed program staffed with qualified teachers who meet or exceed child care licensing requirements. Our program is open to children ages 3-5 who have fully completed potty training. The children are divided into classes where they will learn through an age and developmentally appropriate curriculum:
Our Parent Handbook gives a complete list of skills and concepts that are appropriate for each age. The children have the opportunity to participate weekly in Music Class, Library, Computer Class, and outside play. They may also participate in the school Christmas program, and the “Preschool Program Play” fundraiser.
We realize how difficult it can be for some children and parents to take that first step into the school setting. Statistics show that children who participate in an Early Education Program tend to be more successful in school, are more competent socially and emotionally, and show better verbal, intellectual and physical development during early childhood than children who are not enrolled in a high quality program.
We are always happy to hear from new families and answer any questions you may have about our program.
Thank you for making St. Romuald Preschool your child’s first educational experience!
